Who this is for

Teams with monitoring workflows that need to stay reliable

Monitoring programs are only as good as their data quality. When QA is done manually, ad hoc, or not at all, errors compound over time and undermine the analysis your decisions depend on. The retainer puts a repeatable QA process in place — and keeps it running.

Habitat and biodiversity monitoring

Coral reef surveys, mangrove assessments, terrestrial species monitoring — field data that needs consistent QA before it enters analysis pipelines.

Remote sensing change detection

Satellite-derived outputs that need validation against ground truth, consistency checks across time series, and anomaly flagging.

Dashboard and reporting pipelines

Data flowing into GIS dashboards or stakeholder reports that needs to be clean, correctly attributed, and consistently formatted each cycle.

Multi-source data integration

Programs combining field survey data, remote sensing, and secondary sources that need alignment checks and quality scoring before integration.

What’s included

Consistent QA, every month

Each monthly cycle follows a defined structure. You know what to expect and when.

  • Monthly QA reviewStructured quality assessment of your monitoring data for that cycle — completeness, consistency, accuracy, and anomaly flags.
  • Written QA reportConcise monthly report documenting findings, flags, and any data that needs re-collection or correction before it enters your pipeline.
  • Async support channelDirect access to SSCAR for questions, data issues, and quick reviews between monthly cycles — response within 1 business day.
  • Pipeline integrity checksVerification that data moving from collection through processing to final output is structurally sound each month.

Common questions

Before you reach out

What counts as a monitoring cycle?

A cycle is typically a monthly data collection and processing run — but if your monitoring runs quarterly or at another frequency, we structure the retainer around your actual schedule.

Do I need a readiness assessment first?

Not necessarily, but it helps. If your data workflows are poorly documented or you’re unsure what needs QA, a readiness assessment first means onboarding is faster and the retainer delivers more value from day one.

Can you work with our existing GIS platform?

Yes. We work with the data and platforms you already use — QGIS, ArcGIS, custom pipelines, cloud-based platforms. We don’t require you to change tools.

What if we have a bad data month?

That’s exactly when the retainer earns its keep. We flag issues early, document what happened, and help you decide whether data should be held back, corrected, or included with caveats.

Can we pause or cancel?

After the minimum 3-month term, the retainer runs month-to-month with 30 days notice to exit. We build the relationship for the long term — not to lock you in.
