Habitat Operations Hub
A purpose-built platform for teams running habitat and nature monitoring programs — from field survey ingestion and automated QA to standardized reporting and stakeholder delivery. Built for the data realities of Caribbean and SIDS environments.
Monitoring programs collect more data than they can reliably use
Field survey data arrives in inconsistent formats. QA is manual and underdocumented. Reports are assembled by hand each cycle. When something goes wrong — wrong projection, missing attribute, corrupted file — it’s found late, if at all.
The Habitat Operations Hub is designed to replace the fragile, manual middle layer between data collection and decision-ready outputs — with a structured, auditable workflow that teams can operate without deep GIS expertise on every task.
What the Hub does
The platform covers the full workflow from ingest to delivery — with QA, standardization, and reporting built in at each stage.
Field data ingestion
Structured intake for field survey exports — GPS tracks, transect data, species observations, and attribute tables from common collection tools.
Automated QA checks
Rules-based quality checks run on every ingest — coordinate validation, attribute completeness, schema conformance, and anomaly flagging.
Standardization engine
Data normalized to your target schema and projection on ingest — so downstream analysis and reporting always works from consistent, clean inputs.
QA audit trail
Every check, flag, and correction is logged — giving you a defensible record of data quality decisions for reporting and governance.
Monitoring reports
Structured reports generated from standardized data each cycle — configurable by habitat type, survey area, or reporting period.
Stakeholder delivery
Clean data exports and report packages formatted for your funder, government, or partner — without manual reformatting each cycle.
From field to decision-ready in a defined workflow
Configure your monitoring schema
During onboarding, we configure the platform to your specific habitat types, survey protocols, attribute requirements, and target projections.
Ingest field data each cycle
Your team uploads survey exports at the end of each collection cycle. The platform accepts common field data formats used across Caribbean monitoring programs.
Automated QA runs immediately
Rules-based checks run on ingest — flagging issues for review before data enters your analysis pipeline. Your team sees what passed, what flagged, and what needs correction.
Standardized data available downstream
Approved data is normalized, projected, and exported in your target format — ready for GIS analysis, dashboard ingestion, or direct stakeholder delivery.
Reports generated per cycle
Monitoring reports are generated from the standardized data — configurable by survey area, habitat type, and reporting period — with the QA audit trail attached.
We’re onboarding pilot partners now
The Habitat Operations Hub is in private beta. We’re working with a small number of organisations to configure the platform for real monitoring programs, gather feedback, and refine the workflow before broader availability.
What pilot partners get
Pilot partners receive full platform access, hands-on onboarding and configuration support, direct input into the product roadmap, and preferential pricing locked in before general release. Pricing is by conversation based on your program scale.
What kind of organisations are you looking for?
We’re prioritising organisations running structured habitat or biodiversity monitoring programs in the Caribbean — government agencies, NGOs, research institutions, and conservation programs with regular field survey cycles.
What does the pilot commitment look like?
We ask for a 3-month pilot engagement, one or two monitoring cycles run through the platform, and structured feedback at the end of the pilot. Time commitment for your team is low — we handle configuration and onboarding.
What does it cost during the beta?
Pilot pricing is by conversation, set based on your program scale and data volumes. We’re not offering it for free — but pilot partners get the best pricing they’ll ever see from SSCAR for this product.
Do I need technical staff to operate it?
No. The Hub is designed to be operated by monitoring program staff — not GIS specialists. Your team uploads data, reviews QA flags, and downloads outputs. SSCAR handles the underlying infrastructure and configuration.
Interested in the private beta?
Tell us about your monitoring program — what you’re tracking, your data volumes, and your biggest operational pain points. We’ll confirm whether it’s a fit and schedule a demo.
